S + was/were + past participle (V3) + by + agent (optional)

✅ Contoh Kalimat Aktif dan Pasif (Past Tense)

1. Simple Past Tense

Aktif:
🔹 The chef cooked the meal yesterday.
Pasif:
🔹 The meal was cooked by the chef yesterday.

2. Past Continuous Tense

Aktif:
🔹 They were cleaning the classroom.
Pasif:
🔹 The classroom was being cleaned by them.

✅ Kapan Menggunakan Passive Voice?

  • Ketika subjek pelaku tidak diketahui:
    ➤ The window was broken last night.

  • Fokus pada objek atau hasil tindakan:
    ➤ The song was written in 1995.
